Záměrem textu je vyložit pojem komplexity v křesťanské evoluční teorii Teilharda de Chardin. V úvodu je nastíněna Teilhardova metoda pracující s hodnotovým aspektem a rozlišující tři kvality bytí (jednotu, různorodost a intenzitu vztahů), které v evoluci narůstají. Hlavní část článku tvoří pokus o nalezení kritéria komplexity různých celků a organismů na základě těchto tří kvalitativních aspektů. V závěru textu je načrtnuto hlavní teologické téma Teilhardovy teorie: Bohem stanoveným cílem evoluce založené na sebeorganizaci je umožnit kreativitu a svobodu na (...) každé z evolučních rovin, a to v míře podle dosaženého stupně komplexity. Na úrovni noosféry dosahuje svoboda své plnosti a starost o pokračování evoluce, včetně nalezení vlastního jedinečného příspěvku do komplexních celků lidských společenství, se stává vlastním úkolem člověka jako spolupracovníka na tvoření světa. The paper presents the concept of complexity in the Christian evolutionary theory of Teilhard de Chardin. First, the Teilhard’s method is presented, dealing with values and distinguishing three qualities of being (unity, diversity and intensity of relationships) which increase in the evolution. Author then attempts to find criteria of complexity of different systems and living entities, based on the three mentioned qualities. Finally, the main theological topic of Teilhard’s theory is sketched: Evolution is based on self-organization and its goal (determined by God) is to enable creativity and freedom at each evolutionary level according to the level of attained complexity. At the level of noosphere, freedom reaches its fullness; the concern of human being as a co-worker on creation of the world with advancing evolution becomes his main task, including the search for one’s own unique contribution to the complexity of the human systems. Záměrem textu je představit pojetí základních zákonů evoluce podle Teilharda de Chardin. Konkrétně popisuje tzv. zákony rekurence pro tři vlastnosti, které v evoluci narůstají, což jsou vědomí, personalita a spontaneita (svoboda). U každé z těchto vlastností je provedena extrapolace do budoucnosti, ukazující možnost jejího cílového stavu. Tento postup se kryje s obsahem Teilhardovy tzv. integrální vědy o úloze člověka v evolučním procesu, protože právě člověk je tím, kdo by měl evoluci dovést k završení. Text také krátce nastiňuje hlavní (...) problém Teilhardova díla: Jak může být evoluce založená na procesu samouspořádávání různých systémů včetně člověka chápána zároveň jako směřující ke sjednocení s Bohem a jako jím usměrňovaná. Hlavním cílem textu je ukázat, jakým způsobem se teilhardovské bádání v současnosti rozvíjí, a upozornit na v českém prostředí neznámou literaturu autorů American Teilhard Association.The paper presents conception of main laws of evolution according to Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Especially explains the laws of the recurrence related to three properties, which increase in evolution, i.e consciousness, personality and spontaneity (freedom). Each this property is extrapolated towards the future, showing its possible final state. This method is in accord with contents of Teilhard´s integral science of human task in evolutionary process, because just human is the one, whose duty is to lead evolution to consummation. This paper further briefly mentions the central problem of Teilhard´s work: How can evolution resting upon the process of self-organisation be understood at the same time as leading to unification with God and managed by him. The main goal of this paper is to demonstrate the current research of Teilhards work and to point out the in Czech Republic unknown bibliografy of authors in The American Teilhard Association. The state of globalization that modern humanity has entered, translates the problem of morality from the plan of choosing an individual into a social and even planetary context. This brings us back to the original moral concept of P. Teillard de Chardin, which is the subject of analysis in this article.

Teyyar eschatology, as a doctrine of the ultimate destiny of mankind, is deeply rooted in the concept of the ultimate goal, which is regarded as a true result, though it emerges as a tool designed to fill some of the emptiness created by humanity in the course of natural science practice. Teillard felt that the deplorable state of modern mankind was the result of his neglect of eschatology, his inability to adapt to the needs of his activities, and his lack (...) of courage in further design. "A lighter skyscraper of hope is being constructed," G. Grespi notes. The belief that the Earth is exhausting its limited resources necessarily leads to the thought of the destruction of the Earth. The authors of the paper reflect on the meaning of human life in relation to the universe, drawing on scientific knowledge about evolution and highlighting interconnections between anthropological and cosmological issues. The paper considers the inspiring ideas of V. I. Vernadsky and P. Teilhard de Chardin, especially their understanding of the noosphere. Despite Vernadsky’s and Teilhard’s contrasting interpretations of the noosphere, the authors conclude that both consider the meaning of human life to be about self-improvement and taking responsibility for (...) future evolution. Au début du XXe siècle, si la Chine demeure encore largement une terre vierge pour les explorateurs occidentaux, elle fascine également les chercheurs. Qu'ils soient géographes, géologues, paléontologues ou préhistoriens, tous savent que de formidables découvertes restent à y faire. Suédois et Américains font rapidement le voyage vers l'Empire du Milieu, mais ce sont des Français qui, sur le terrain, vont écrire les plus belles pages de la découverte du Paléolithique de Chine, des premières industries lithiques à l'étude du gisement (...) de l'Homme de Pékin. Pierre Teilhard de Chardin est l'un d'entre eux, qui durant près de vingt ans va parcourir des milliers de kilomètres dans les campagnes et les déserts de Chine et de Mongolie, à la recherche des premiers hommes. Entre 1923 et 1940, il maintient une relation épistolaire avec son port d'attache à Paris, le Muséum national d'histoire naturelle, en la personne de son professeur de paléontologie, Marcellin Boule. Au fil de quatre-vingt-neuf lettres, interrompues par seulement une dizaine de retours vers l'Occident et par sa participation à la fameuse Croisière Jaune Citroën, il décrit, sur fond de rumeurs révolutionnaires évoquées ici et là, ses explorations et ses découvertes à son " Maître et ami ", de vingt ans son aîné, et à qui il voue une dévotion reconnaissante et quasi filiale - " [...] celui à qui je dois tout dans ma carrière scientifique [...] ". Pierre Teilhard de Chardin's spiritual masterpiece, The Divine Milieu, in a newly-revised translation by Siôn Cowell, is addressed to those who have lost faith in conventional religion but who still have a sense of the divine at the heart of the cosmos. "The heavens declare the glory of God," sings the Psalmist. Teilhard would agree. “Letters to Two Friends describes the author’s daily life and the development of his thought, and constitutes a kind of ‘journal’ – a journal extending from1926 to1952, throughout almost all of Father Teilhard’s life as a scientist and a priest. Henri de Lubac n'a pas seulement consacré plusieurs études à son confrère jésuite Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, il a aussi édité un certain nombre de lettres écrites par celui-ci - parmi les-quelles les Lettres d'egypte. Ces lettres furent rédigées de 1905 à 1908. Teilhard effectuait alors, dans le cadre de sa formation, trois aimées de " régence " au collège du Caire, où il était " lecteur de chimie et de physique ". Outre l'exercice de cette charge, il profita (...) de son séjour pour découvrir l'Égypte et pour s'adonner à la paléontologie. Il commença alors de subir une véritable fascination de l'Orient ; mais l'attirance panthéiste, loin de le détourner de la foi chrétienne, le conduira plutôt à découvrir la dimension cosmique de sa propre tradition. C'est en 1963 que le P. de Lubac édita les Lettres d'Egypte, contribuant ainsi à la réhabilitation de leur auteur. Ces lettres que Teilhard avait adressées à ses parents témoignent de toute son affection filiale. Elles mettent aussi en évidence sa vocation de chercheur, ainsi que ses remarquables qualités d'écrivain. Surtout, à travers elles se manifeste déjà ce qui ne cessera de retentir dans l'oeuvre ultérieure du père Teilhard : l'amour passionné d'un chrétien pour l'univers. (shrink)

Parmi les nombreuses lettres de Pierre Teilhard, celles envoyées aux Bégouen, près d'une centaine, occupent une place privilégiée. C'est en 1913, avec la rencontre du comte Henri Bégouën, passionné de préhistoire, que commence la relation de Teilhard avec cette famille. Durant la guerre, cette relation s'ouvre à Max, le fils aîné, et, par la suite, à Simone, son épouse. Dans sa correspondance, Teilhard témoigne d'une amitié profonde et fidèle tout particulièrement à l'égard du couple, qu'il compte parmi ses intimes. En (...) toute liberté, il lui fait part du cheminement de sa pensée et de l'état d'avancement de ses écrits, il lui confie ses difficultés avec les autorités religieuses et prend position sur les courants politiques et idéologiques qui secouent la France et le monde. Grâce aux nombreux souvenirs rassemblés par Max et à quelques copies de ses lettres à Teilhard, se perçoit l'influence déterminante du jésuite sur sa vie et sur son activité professionnelle en Afrique. S'y révèle aussi la riche personnalité du couple qui a contribué au rayonnement de la pensée de Teilhard. Dès 1928, Simone reproduit et diffuse les essais envoyés de Chine par Teilhard. Initiative, peu connue jusqu'à présent, qui a facilité l'édition rapide des oeuvres complètes. En postface, quatre spécialistes de l'oeuvre de Teilhard, Jean-Pierre Demoulin, François Fuvé, Henri Madelin et Gustave Martelet, mettent en lumière l'apport de ces lettres à la compréhension de la personnalité et de la vision clu monde du jésuite. De cet ensemble, il ressort clairement que la pensée teilhardienne déborde des cercles scientifiques et peut éclairer les chrétiens soucieux de construire une société plus juste et plus fraternelle. Les éditions Lessius ont aussi publié la Correspondance de Pierre Teilhard avec Lucile Swan (2008) et Teilhard de Chardin prophète d'un Christ toujours plus grand de Gustave Martelet (2005).
